Animal set out to connect with the collegiate market in a bold, meaningful way. While an initial campus tour was considered, the opportunity quickly evolved: instead of chasing students across multiple schools, why not meet them where they naturally gather for spring break. Panama City Beach became the perfect stage, offering access to a high concentration of college students from across the country in one high-energy environment.
Inspired by the iconic intensity of The Cage at the Arnold, the goal was to bring that same grit, community, and competitive spirit to an unexpected setting. The idea: create an experience that blends strength, entertainment, and accessibility and introduce a new generation to the Animal mindset.
We took over a 50’ x 50’ footprint directly in front of Señor Frog’s, transforming it into a fully immersive beachfront gym. The space, dubbed the Animal Strength Lab, featured low-impact, isometric challenge stations, as well as the extremely competitive Cage to welcome participants of all fitness levels.
Guests competed in strength-based challenges throughout the day, with winners crowned at the top of every hour to maintain energy and momentum. The experience was fully staffed by trained professionals, required participant waivers, and was built in coordination with the city to ensure safety and compliance. Beyond competition, the space served as an interactive brand hub where attendees could explore Animal products and learn how to build strength, grit, and endurance.

The activation delivered a high-impact presence that stood out along the beach, drawing consistent crowds and organic attention throughout the multi-day event. By tapping into spring break, Animal reached a broad and diverse collegiate audience in a single location—far exceeding the reach of a traditional campus tour.
The experience successfully introduced younger consumers to the brand, drove product awareness, and built a strong database of engaged participants. Just as importantly, it extended the legacy of The Cage into a new environment, reinforcing Animal’s identity while creating a memorable, shareable “muscle beach” moment that resonated with its next generation of fans.
