Inspiration

Innovative Group delivered a first-of-its-kind event for the E1 Miami GP, marking the North American debut of the E1 Series, the world’s first fully electric powerboat league. Previously staged in Europe and Africa, the Miami event introduced U.S. audiences to an emerging global property positioned at the intersection of sport, sustainability, premium hospitality, and entertainment.

Execution

The strategic mandate extended well beyond event execution. The event needed to establish Miami as a viable long-term U.S. hub for the series, secure a protected racecourse within a highly regulated marine environment, maintain active port and marine considerations, support full-scale international broadcast operations, and deliver a premium guest experience worthy of a global property entering the American market.

Staged at the Port of Miami against the city's skyline and cruise terminal backdrop, the event transformed a highly complex operating environment into a world-class live experience. In coordination with the Miami-Dade County Port Authority and other key stakeholders, schedules were adjusted to allow racing within a controlled environment, supported by advanced drone monitoring for safety and wildlife protection. The guest experience was elevated through premium hospitality elements and a tailored Cirque du Soleil performance, reinforcing E1’s positioning as more than a race. It was a premium cultural and entertainment platform.

What made the program innovative was its successful fusion of sustainability, live sport, marine operations, hospitality, and global media into one seamless experience. What made it strategically successful was that it helped launch a new category of sport in the United States while demonstrating the series’ viability as a premium live property.
